Hey Littleman...what kind of IWB holster is that you have there??
no clue...
I bought it from a guy here on GT for $20.
He got it from someone else and he didn't even know what brand it is.
I just snapped a few pics of it with my mag holster. (It is really just a knife sheath I had... but it couldn't hold the mag for the G36 better.)

There is a gentleman on e-bay that hand makes and sells those holsters. His business name is Gun Leather and I think he sells them for 39.95 and shipping. They are high quality and I own 2 myself.

I'll play. My G36 and M&P45 on the way to the range...(don't know how to stuff the pic into the reply frame like some of you guys did).

Sevier very nice im interested in what slide release that is looks different. Got any info and how does it work any problems with that slide release in the 36?
Thanks mate. It's just an extended factory slide release. I had the dealer (Scottsdale Gun Club) put it on when I purchased the gun. He had some difficulty with it, but got it to work. Aside from the typical jams that G36' experience, the slide release has worked just fine.

Is that a scratch or hair/particle on the bottom picture, rear of the slide?? That looks pretty substantial. What is the finish???
I had a feeling someone would point that out. ;) Thankfully, it's just a hair. Ronnie's work is top knotch and there's no way he would send something back with a scratch in it. He did a Nickel Teflon coat on it, and I'll be sending the wife's S&W M&P9c in for the same treatment.

Is that a +0 or +1 piece on the mag? Reason I ask is to me it just looks a pinch too long in the pic to look like a simple Pearce replacement.
I miss my G36...had one a few years back and had to sell it to pay some bills. :( Wouldn't mind getting another to go with the new G29SF and G30SF I got. :)

James:
Pearce +0 mag extension. We find that it contributes significantly to our ability to comfortably manage the little beast during recoil. A butt plug helps with comfort also. For the pistol, that is.

The Holster Store (theholsterstore.com) used to sell on e-bay. They make an IWB holster called the X-treme Duty. It's similar to the popular Milton Sparks but turn around time is 2 weeks if it's not in stock. My G36 fits in the X-Treme duty made for the G26. Well, they make other styles too and are reasonably priced.

There are no "typical" jams in a G36. It should function flawlessly. Mine does. But I only only only shoot 230 gr FMJ, 230 gr Plated and 230 gr Lead Round Nose.
I love this picture. By far the best G36 pic I have seen! I have it as my screen saver:supergrin: I just purchased a used G36 with the same L-shaped light scratch that you display under the "45 auto." Think that this may be the result of Fobus (?) holster wear, or could it be something else. Your thoughts? PS- I also use your photo as my background.

My first Glock!
36 was my first Glock and my first .45. I love it! I'm debating what my next Glock will be... maybe a 23? Time will tell.
GOOFA, I like the OD, and think I'll go that route for my next Glock.
Pics of mine:

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn178/tkdkracker007/Glock36006.jpg
I polished the barrel without sanding (soak in vinegar, wire brush and clean, polish by hand with terrycloth and metal polish), added rubber grip cutouts, Pearce +0 mag extensions, backstrap plug, and I just installed Meprolights, stainless guide-rod with OEM spring rate and a Glockmeister extended slide release.
I rounded the triggerguard, removed some area underneath the triggerguard and also smoothed underneath the "beavertail" for my hand. I get a better, higher grip now.
