is the 17-L a collectors gun or not ? i called glock and they said they only made 2000 of them !!!!!!!!

They may have only made 2000 in the last run, but there are WELL over 2000 made over all.

It depends. I have a first-gen. (smooth-grip) 17L, and it's pretty rare. There were only a couple thousand of those made.

There've been a lot more than that made since then (the 80s), and Glock will still make them every once in awhile, when there's a perceived demand. I've seen 3rd Gen. 17Ls...
