Will this combo work if I crank down the rear sight? What other rear sights work with the Hi-Viz? I know the stock sight and MMC will.

Depends on the Bomar, the drop in version requires a .275 tall front. If you have a buried bomar the hiviz may work, for the drop in there are fiber optic made at .275 to work.

Matt,
I'm confused on the terminology. Drop-In is a straight swap of the old sight, installed into the factory dovetail, right? What is "buried"?

It sounds like you are trying to match a rear to a Hiviz sight you already have. I have been doing just the opposite, trying to match a fiber optic front to a Heine rear. I think I have finally found the answer from Dawson Precision. Ordered their Glock fiber front sight matched to the Heinie last Friday. I'm hoping it works. They also have them available for Bo-Mar and Novaks. www.dawsonprecision.com

Another way of calling buried is melted. The original Bo-mar sight for Glock uses the same dovetail but it sticks out noticeably (refer to attachment). Melted/buried would be similar the way that a Para LDA has the Bo-mar clone installed (refer to link).

A buried bomar requires cutting the slide. See the pic.

Wow, those buried Bomars look great. Much better than the standard "off the slide" install. Has the rear blade been customized as well?

Nope standard combat blade. We are doing a new one right now with tritium too.

LPA (www.precisionsights.com) has a matched set of adjustable sites for the Glock. The run about $70. They are a higher mount than the Bo-mar, but it has a matched front sight to compensate. Its the same sighting system HK uses on the Tactical and Expert model USP pistols.

Dump, the North Pass Hi-Viz sight is the same height (.165") as the stock Glock sight. The rear that you choose will have to match the height of your Glock rear sight. I installed a Heinie rear by cutting the height down on a surface grinder to match the Glock rear height. It is a really nice sight picture.
The Aro-Tek rear will work with the NP front without modification. You may want to consider the Novak also. It too will work with the NP front.
