1) No, there isn't one (not yet, anyway).
2) No, it won't.

According to the factory parts listing, all the Extended Slide Stop Levers are the same fo all but the Glock 17 and 19. But when I installed a set on both my Glcok 21 & 30, they would not allow me to manually lock a slide open. So I put the orignal slide stop lever back on (aldo the same ones used by all but the 9mm Glocks).

I meant to ask the Factory Armorers at the Richmond, VA GSSF match about 2 weeks ago. I'll try to remember to ask them at teh Waldorf, MD GSSF match.

Carlos,

Thw G36 slide stop lever is a part unique to the G36. A G34 extended slide stop lever will not work. A G35 extended slide stop lever will not work. The G17 and G34 also use their own unique slide stop lever. A G35 extended slide stop lever should work in all other Glocks (if installed correctly).;f

My parts list did not include the G36 (don't know why since I got it from teh ARmorer's Course I took in Dec 2000). But there is an excessive amount of lateral play with the listed Extended Slide Stop Lever for the G21 & G30. I meant to ask the Factory Armorers about this during the Cavalier GSSF match but got too busy to get to it. Maybe I can ask them about it at the Waldorf GSSF match (I will be ROing that macth on Sunday as well). ;f

I also meant to ask them about teh G27 that went off by itself because of "ammunition malfunction". I know the owner's brother and he has been keeping me abreast of the situation. It seems fishy that Glock would give him a new pistol after this incident if it was, in fact, caused by the (factory) ammo. There was no damage to the gun (the briefcase and holster containing the gun, and the kitchen frloo in which this occured is another story). Glock, Inc. needs to be up-front and honest about what actually happened there and which part failed or their name will be mud. Until I get the straight poop, I won't recommend a Glock for any of my Beginner's Pistol Courses. But I digress.

I'll post anything that I do find out.

I have tried extended slide releases on a number of guns and have always removed them. They sound great in theory but tend to catch on holsters or clothing in practice or do not work as advertised. Just get in the habit of pulling back on the slide for a slide-lock reload. Works for me.

Carlos: I have vague memories of stories of a Glock's supposedly "going off by itself" while in a briefcase. I didn't remember that it was a properly holstered Glock. Do you have any more details? Sounds really fishy to me. Is it possible that the Glock was improperly holstered or not holstered at all?

Also seems fishy to me that Glock would replace the G27 with a new one, unless something major were wrong with the replaced G27.

Walter, the way it was explained to me (by the owner's brother) is that he actually had it in a holster which covered the trigger and trigger guard and had a thumb-strap fastened. He was running late and had forgotten something. He dropped the attache-case in which the holstered G27 was contained in and it went off, putting a bullet through the kitchen floor.

He contacted Glock, Inc. and sent them the gun. The story they fed him was that it was caused by the ammunitions (factory JHPs). But they sent him a new Glock 27 regardless.

Something just didn't sound right about the whole thing and the following quuestions:
(1) How can a cartridge could cause an AD?
(2) If the AD was in fact caused by the ammo, why did they replace the pistol?
(3) Since the fired case had a primer dent in it, how can the gun itself not play a role in the AD?

I will try to pump the Glock Factory Armorers and Reps at the next GSSF for information. I will post any information I find out.
