View Full Version : GAP ENTERPRISES finger-rest mag floorplates for G26 - WHERE TO BUY?
A couple of years ago I bought some GAP Enterprises Finger-Rest magazine floorplates for Glock26.
I want to purchase more now, but the GAP Enterprises website is gone: www.concealablecontrol.com
I tried emailing Lane Pughe (the son) at the website with no success, and I have no idea how to contact Greg Pughe (the father).
If anybody knows where I can find these floor plates, please let me know.
AND IF LANE OR GREG PUGHE HAPPEN TO READ THIS, PLEASE SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE.
Thanks

Sometimes their website is just down. If they're really down for good, holy crap, that sucks because I was thinking about buying more. For those who never bought, you missed out on a fantastic product. I imagine they were making a profit because the plates weren't exactly inexpensive.

I have not gotten a reply to direct emails, but have placed several orders and they have been shipped promptly.

HOW and FROM WHERE do you order them?
I have a P.O Box address for them in Eugene, OR - but I don't know if that's still active, nor do I know the current pricing.
I have some forsale

Hope you're right, Jake.

There is a link on their page to order from. That being said, I just tried to go to their page and link it for you, but its down.

The GAP FingerRest is the most clever little accessory I've ever bought for any of my Glocks. This just reminded me that I want to buy some more.
I've bought mine directly from the company. I'd guess the whoever hosts their website is having technical problems. I can recall the website being down before. I wish them well and hope it is back soon.
Looks like the domain name has expired! There is no DNS entry for that name as of today.

I wonder if they were making a profit. If so, I wonder if they're open to receiving offers to buy their company.

I remember the site being down before too. Hopefully they're still available because it's a really great product. They make a big difference in weapon presentation and control on my G-39. Love 'em!
I hope they are still available.
I have a couple and daily carry them on my G26.

i have an extra new one for sale if anyone needs one
$6 shipped
If the website is not coming back, then I was almost another victim of procrastination. I wasn't sure that I wanted to spend $20 for a set of two GAP finger extensions without trying them first. Luckily, thanks to tampashooters I now have two coming to my house for half the price, you just can't beat that deal!!!

Looks like the DNS entry has reappeared, but it doesn't resolve to an IP address. That doesn't tell us much.
Maybe the owner is changing to a new hosting service, maybe they didn't pay their hosting fees...could be anything. Hopefully the return of the DNS entry is a good sign!
Thanks for the IT updates, K3sis.
I appreciate GT members trying to help me out by offering to sell their unused floorplates, but what I really want is to simply buy some more directly from GAP Enterprises.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy thanksgiving.... and... that ain't gonna happen... Concealable Control (GAP) is no longer in business.
But, maybe there will be a christmas miracle...

Is there a solid factual basis for that statement? Or is it your assumption based on review of the circumstances.
I have a phone number for Lane. I hate to call him and possibly "rub salt in the wound", but if no one really knows for sure, maybe I should call...

Order one, then let me know... Oh, wait... YOU CAN'T!!! Companies that go down for this long aren't on vacation....ConcealableControl.com is now even part of someone else out of maine... But hey, what do I know...

Duh, I think Taylor'd Consulting is THE WEB DESIGN FIRM that created the GAP Enterprises website. Sheeesh.
Having "clarified" that you really don't know what you're talking about, I remind you that I tried to ask you for clarification NICELY, but you took that as some sort of "assault on yer manhood". Duh, again.
I suggest you dial it back a few clicks, and better yet, why not take your bull$hit to some other lucky thread.

All I can say (I'll let you guys play "who's got a bigger Johnson") I'm just glad I got mine while the going was good. 'Wouldn't have anything else on my G27.

Big Johnson? A guy with a big "johnson" wouldn't feel compelled to take big pics of his guns and post 'em on the web. And as they say, big hands = big "johnson" yet I notice you REDUCED the size of your grip at the backstrap there... Little mittens, too?
Sorry dude, but you asked for it. Hey, I just wanted to buy some floorplates.

Well, aside from all the other stuff here, lets hope they come back, or someone else picks up the design. If you like them, as i do, they're pretty cool gadgets.

True....Unfortunately, while popular, the demand probably couldn't sustain them by only selling one product for one type of gun. The best type of company would be Pearce grips or something.

Did you ever think some folks might not even know what a GAP finger rest is ergo the photo provided? So much for trying to help and diffuse the juvenile back and forth. 'Seems no matter what you do to help someone a wee bit too sensitive is waiting in the wings to turn things south.
I do hope that that the GAP finger rest continues to be. It really makes a difference on the Glock subcompacts. And it's called a finger rest. Cheers.
I spoke with Lane Pughe of Gap Enterprises today.
The website is NOT down for good. They've been having trouble with their webhosting provider, and decided to shut everything down temporarily so as to make a totally fresh start online.
Lane and his dad expect to put the site back up (with a new hosting provider) after the first of the year.
THE WEBSITE URL WILL BE THE SAME AS ALWAYS:
www.concealablecontrol.com
But don't expect to find it until after New Years.

P.S. I hope nobody's going to accuse me of being affiliated with GAP Ent. again. I posted a very positive review of their product (with comparison photos and everything) back when I bought my first GAP floorplates. 'Suffered a lot of foolishness then about being "in kahoots". Total BS, though I see the thread is no longer available...hmmm. Well here I am promoting GAP Ent. again, not because I'm affiliated, but because the product is EXCELLENT - and because its important to support good folks engaged in honest AMERICAN enterprise.
I'm almost afraid to put up a post on this thread....
Anyhow, GlocksterPaulie (posts in the classifieds) sells the GAP plates. His price is (was) less than that of CC. I would post a link to his profile, but it seems to have been swamped beneath the GT change over.
Carry on...
