Newby help . . . I ran into a guy that has a 23 for sale. S/N is BKF6XXUS. Wondering if any of you can tell me if this weapon has the light rail and finger grooves in the grip.

This gun comes with one 10 rnder two 13's and one 15 rnd mag and a Galco leather holster. I don't know if the mags are Glock FML NFML or aftermarket yet, but the whole package is going for $400. Is this a good deal considering the weapon is in good shape?

You can tell in a heart beat if you see it. Is he far away? The price sounds pretty damn good to me. I can't find anyone who wants to sell thier hi-caps around here. This guy is throwing three in the deal?

MIKEXCOP You've got first dibs if I back out of this one. I'll pass his info on to you. He has no phone though . . . makes it a little difficult.

I'm definitely going to run the S/N through the local cop shop first to make sure it's not hot.

BAT GUN Yeah he's throwing the 3 standard cap mags in along with a Clinton special (10rnd) and it's got night sights on it.

Do the 1st and 2nd gen guns have a good resale value? My hope is to sell this weapon and get the G30 that I want. Unless I fall in love with the G23 that is.

I figure if the mags are made by Glock they are worth at least $80 each. That would make the gun w/clinton special and holster $160. If it is a 1st gen in poor shape . . . what is the gun itself worth?

Just to give you some kind of an idea, I bought a second gen G23 made in '91 with 2 Klinton mags, 2 double mag carriers, Houge grip a Dillon leather holster, and an Unkle Mike's paddle holster for $400. Take away all the extras and the gun cost around $250. That is w/o night sights.
Sounds like a real nice deal for you.

Sounds like a winner then. I figure the actual cost of the gun and one 10rnd mag to be $220 with night sights.

So that's a fair deal for an old generation weapon? What of these upgraded safety parts I've heard about on post 92' guns?

Is it safe to say that a Glock non lined 23 standard cap mag is worth $60 each?

I'll be taking a look at it Sunday. Can't wait

The firing pin upgrade on 23s ran through s/n SL. You shouldn't need it w/ s/n BKF. My s/n is SL***US, and it was already done. Here is the link to Glockmeister's upgrade info...http://www.glockmeister.com/fpupgrad.html
The nfml mags are worth at least $60. Take a look at some of the auction sites to get a good idea of what they are going for. Hope it works out.
