This is a terrible thing to hear about at any time, but ever so much when a tragedy happens around the holidays when you’re supposed to be spending that time with your family and friends. This family will I'm sure be spending their time in the hospital hoping and praying for this little girls recovery. I hope you everyone here will remember this family and little girl in there daily prayers. It's always a terrible reminder for those of us with children in the house. With firearms ownership comes the ever vigilant responsibility of keeping those firearms out the reach of children.

Very sad indeed.

With the right to own a gun comes the responsibility to make them safe when the kids visit.

Unload and lock them up when the kids come to visit.

With no kids in the house full time it gets easy to be lazy and not make the house kid safe.

I have Grand kids in that age range and can not imagine what that family is going through.

The Grandfather will have to live with this the rest of his day's.

I pray for the recovery of the girl and the family.
