Yes, I am afraid I am guilty of glocking a few fish myself. Those dam carp seem to take the abuse better than most fish....;)

I have done that once..... what a mess. Glass and gravel all over my living room... boy was the wife pissed off.

Guess next time I should go to the lake, eh? ;)

I killed a mullet with my Sheridan Silver Streak, back when I was a teenager.

Used to shoot Red Snapper and Grouper under the rigs off the Louisiana Coast. My family has property in Grand Isle. Haven't been spearfishing in years. The last time I even dove was in the aquarium in Epcot. It was pretty neat. I really miss diving and hopefully It will become a hobby again.

I have not had a (legal) chance to shoot them with a gun.

I love shooting Carp with my Martin Compoun though.

They are always pickled, never wasted.

one time at the lake tried shooting fish, couldn't hit them, so we caught a few and put them in a barrel..... you know the end of the story ;f ;a ;f

We shoot snapping turtles. Probably the best time was with an M1A and an HK91.

I watched an uncle of mine finish off a very large catfish that refused to die with a .380 PPK, does that count? :)

Always wanted to try spearfishing (and scuba diving) haven't gotten to it yet though.

We shoot large halibut before bringing them aboard the boat.
They can tear a boat apart as well as break arms and legs if you don't.

I've used 22 rf, 38 spec, 357 mag.

When using the 357 mag I like to have a couple inches of water over them. Impressive!

I always double-tap with the 22.

Local lakes here in AR, but haven't been in awhile. After the spring outage season is over, I'm headed to FL. Maybe I'll talk my buddy into heading out onto the salt. I hear freshwater spearfishing is a big, heavily fined no-no down there.

you don't want to spearfish in freshwater down here, if you are going to be in the Tampa area send me a pm and maybe we could set up a trip in the Gulf, I have a boat that is set up for spearfishing and plenty of gear, guns and tanks.

A few summers ago I was over my wifes uncles house and we were shooting some informal trap on his property. On the back part of his property there is this marshy area where the water from lake erie comes in and will fill but when the water level drops some carp are left in there and they cant get out to the lake again. Taking a break from shooting we were shooting the breeze I saw the huge carp swimming with its tale and fin sticking out of the water. The Water was getting shallow I just could not resist he was about 25 yards out. I loaded a 3 inch magnum into the Benelli Nova took aim, and shot I dont know if I really hit him or is I scared the crap out of him and he jumped out of the water skiped across the water over a piece of land that was sticking up and back into the water.

I love shooting carp with my bow and fish arrow outfit...somitime we get them in the 30 lb range, never have taken a shot at one with my glock, tried to shoot some small-non-hook-biting 8 inch brookies out of a small stream once with a 30.06, but the results were less than glamorous...

I bowfish quit a bit during the spring and summer. The fish on the left is @30lbs according to a cheapo wallyworld scale. My 4 yr old son is standing behind the one fish!

Shoot carp all the time with a Bear bow.

It is very addictive. Started off with a spotlight. Next thing I knew I had a 18' flatbottom a 5000 watt generator and a boat full of lights and stay up all night every weekend. But.... I went back to school and sold it. Now I'm back to a spotlight and a SureFire mounted on my bow again. Bummer.
