Are there any tac lights that use AA batteries out there?
Didn't find much searching through google.
Thanks in advance to those who reply.

I'm pretty sure you'd have to buy an airsoft light or laser. Usually they run about $20 on ebay. I've seen a few that take AA and they fit on real guns. I believe most if not all gun lights currently use the 123A lithium.

Those worth owning will use the -123s lithiums.
The old VLI allowed either AA or 123s. However most are out of the system now and have been replaced by surefires.
but I found a 3 watt LED "tactical" light at Wally-World of all places. It's really nice: machined aluminum, pocket clip, tailicap switch...best part is that it takes AA's. I carry it on duty in fact. It's bright enough for shooting and takes a beating. It's from Rayovac and only cost about $22.00. I carry it off duty as a utility light as well.
With an offset light mount and a piece of material or tape to shim it, it would be a great tac light. The body is smaller in diameter than one of the G2's or 6P's, etc.
