I have a 3.5 connector in my G-17 and am considering adding the Wolff Competition Pak spring set. Is this set-up reliable for competition? Improve trigger pull? Thank you.

The Wolff kit will most likely make a big difference in your trigger pull. In my opinion, the lightened striker spring will make the most difference. The combination of a .25 trigger polishing and spring change will reduce the trigger pull by a bunch.
That being said, the lightened striker spring may make your pistol less reliable. In some guns, light primer hits will result in FTF's. The only way to know is to try it and see how well it works in your particular pistol.
I have them in all my Glocks{17, 19, 27, 32} but they are not carry guns I stake my life on. I shoot the hell out of them at the range and the Wolf kit makes the trigger feel much better. So far it as been 100% reliable. I also have 3.5# connectors in all of them and the so called .25cent polish job. I have the connector in two of them that has the trigger stop tab and it works nice too but a pain to install. Last time I just bought the Lone Wolf adjustable trigger stop. I shoot alot and mostly reloads, when you look at the fired case the primer appears barely dented but I have never had one not fire yet. If I had to carry one of them I would at least put the factory striker spring back in and see if the primers looked better. I have a titanium striker in the 19 and it works but I dont like the way it feels as much as the stock one when you pull the trigger.
