Folks, may I suggest that this thread not be used to discuss the merits of one holster over another.

It is to list the holster makers out there.

Thanks

If we work together on this glockman, one day we may actually get all the manufactures in the list. But I doubt it.

There are so many, how in the world would someone choose the right manufacturer for your needs and fit? I'm guessing my choice was just a lucky guess as my favorite holster is comfortable, easily accessible, and conceals well. I actually have two holsters, the second an inside the waist style and it accomodates special garments well also. Great list though! Had no idea there were so many makers out there.
Thanks Glockman.

It's not much different than shopping at the mall. You browse forums and threads where people post photos of their holsters. You see what you like and if you think it'll work you buy what you saw in the photo.

The custom stuff at its worst is better than the store-bought stuff at it's best so you really can't go wrong. Ultimately it's going to be your body and your style of dress that is going to tell you what holster type really works for you ... and that comes through trying different things.

We have a nice, healthy list of people who are following their dream of making holsters; and these help us follow our dream of being armed - comfortably and with the level of class and style fitting for free men.

My favorite holster is a Don Hume and my inside the waist Holster is a Bianchi. Both are major leather goods manufacturers. I don't dispute the value of custom holster manufacturers but as I stated earlier and you referred to in your reply, I saw what I liked, bought what I saw from a company who posted an online photo and was maybe just very lucky but they turned out to be a couple of good choices. I'm curious why you feel, "The custom stuff at its worst is better than the store-bought stuff at it's best"? I would hope good quality leather and competent craftsmanship would make for a good holster no matter the company. IMHO

Hello, I began my search for conceal carry about a year ago. I bought a Smartcarry first, and liked it for deep carry. But I wanted something that wouldn't be so deep. I began research on the hybrids. I wanted one, but couldn't bring myself to paying what all were asking, so I ordered material and made my own. Then I thought, why not sell these. So I developed several styles and now I am selling them on ebay, with great feedback. I am also trying to come up with something so my FFL guy can offer them when he sells guns. I also just listed some on gunbroker.com. I have not established a company or name, although it will probably be TW holsters. My list of guns I can make is short right now, but I am looking to add. (glock 19,23,26,27, Springfield XD9 and 1911, Highpoint 9mm, S & W 9mm). My ship time has been within a week of ordering. Hope to make your list of holster makers. Thanks, t-roy-w.

I have one to add, White Hat Holsters. It's a hybrid holster and you can get kydex shells for almost any pistol and swap them out. I ordered one but haven't received it yet.

I will second JM Custom Kydex (http://www.jmcustomkydex.com/) holsters. Iíve owned dozen's of holsters of every conceivable fashion and yes I have the box of gear in the garage to prove it. I can honestly say that Tony Mayer the owner of JM Custom Kydex makes some of the best Kydex holsters I have ever worn including some of those 'cool guy' holster makers whose wait times are upwards of 5-6 months.

You owe it to yourself to check out his site at JM Custom Kydex (http://www.jmcustomkydex.com/)

Here is an example of a Outside the Waist Band model:
