View Full Version : Disney Land/ Epcot Center and CCW
I have family here visiting me and they wish to go to the Theme parks here in Central FL. Does anyone know thier policies toward CCW? Anyone here experienced in this matter. They dont know that im a CCW carrier, but thats another matter altogether.
Thanks for any info.

No offense, but did you try to search this question?
It says to me "search is disabled"

...and so it does...
Short and sweet:
Carry at any of FL's theme parks is NOT illegal. Most parks are posted, but the signs carry NO weight of law in FL. If you're discovered carrying, all they can do is ask you to leave.
Most parks do cursory searches of bags, purses, waistpacks, etc. Carry on your person, keep it concealed, and you're going to be fine.
Have a good time!

I believe you will find that Disney is the company who fired an employee for having a firearm in their vehicle and I believe they are pretty strict about no weapons by policy.
You might get away with CCW right up to and until you would need the weapon.
I can say to you, that the security at this place is akin to (if not better) than what is at the Space Center. There are several types of security on the property from the clowns wearing costumes to some fairly serious people in suits and full auto. Remember that The property is actually an incorporated city, Lake Buena Vista and the clowns are potentially real police officers under Florida law. Mostly former Federal.
They have cameras in places where you dont expect them and an absolute state of the art control system, all underground which, is more vast than the parks themselves.
They are subjected to every weirdo and pervert imaginable who try to snatch kids on the order of daily, they move millions of dollars around every hour, are a top potential target for every extreme idiot who wants to make the news, trust me. From someone who knows, do not test the system there. They are polite and they are firm and they do not play around.

Absolutely right. Carry and have fun.
Disney is no different than any other business.
And my apologies about the search button. You were right.
Thanks for all the info, I think I might leave my sub.compact .40 in the car. I dont want it to come loose during a roller coaster ride or something and have an awkward moment.
