Still trying to perfect my new Ar-15.
My understanding is the most useful sling is a 2-point, quick adjust sling to allow the easiest weapons carry and quick presentation. My mission is to patrol my house/exterior in a shtf scenario. I am 6'1" & 210lbs.
From Brownell's AR-15/M16 catalog, 2007-#1:
p35, the Vickers Combat Applications Sling $52.95
or
p36, the Viking Tactics V-Tac Quick Adjust Sling $34.95, or $40.95 padded.
The Vickers adjusts from 46" to 57" in overall length ("made specifically for the M4 carbine" the catalog sez).
The Viking from 58" to 63" overall length, and has an optional shoulder pad 20" long.
Again, thanks.
