Is Moleskin the same as "A-grip"?

Can you use moleskin like you buy at the drugstore instead of the "A-grip"? Is it the same material? Has anyone ever tried it?

I am so please with the skateboard tape I got a while ago that the thought of another cheap and easy to obtain material to make my gun fit and feel better is on my mind.

I have heard of trap and skeet shooters using Moleskin on the stock of thier shotguns so it got me thinking that it might be able to be used as a grip.

I think it is.

But I'm not sure they sell moleskin pre-cut to fit your firearm.

I just ordered Agrip for my new G36 today.

Moleskin is adhesive backed fuzzy cotton flannel; normally (caucasian) flesh toned.
I have seen it used to pad rifle and shotgun stocks. It gets to looking nasty after a little shooting.

I don't know what fabric Agrip is based on.
