I'll shortly have both a G17 and a G26, full size and subcompact, respectively. Preferably based upon experience, do you have any comments about the reliability of the .22 LR Advantage Arms Conversion when purchased for either of the two sizes?

Have the kit on a G22 frame, just use the recommended ammo and you should be fine. Haven't used the small kit.
I have one for my G23. It had a couple of problems the first few hundred rounds, but after breaking it in a little it runs great. Very reliable now and very very fun to shhot.
And its great, Havnt even been throught the break in period and love it! Get the sub compact, it will give you training on the one you will most likely be carrying concealed
