Dale City show (Dec. 1-2) big disappointment

This was the biggest waste of my time. I went to the Dale City show in November, and there were several dealers actually selling guns, and Trader Jerrys had several tables set up with handguns and rifles. This time, Trader Jerrys was the only dealer there selling handguns, and they didn't have even half as many as last time.

I'm also mad because now I have to wait 'till next Feb. before the next Chantilly show comes around

Oh well at least this'll give me more time to save up for a nice gun.

Just wondering though, is 379 a good price for a used (some holster wear/minor scratches) Glock 22? I'm almost thinking I shouldn't have passed it up.

I'm really wanting though to get a SW 4046 though just for something different but I think I'm going to have to order online if I want one or wait to see what Chantilly brings in Feb.

Depends upon how much you pay for transfers.

Summit Gun Brokers has Factory "Used" guns that look like new, have night sights and 3 mags for $349. IIRC he charges $15 for shipping.

So about $365 to your dealers door. If you dealer charges $25 for a transfer then for $10 more you get an extra magazine and night sights.

Thanks vafish...I'm actually going to think long and hard about summit, because they have SW4046's with three mags, box, and Hogues, and I think night sights, for 299+20ship+transfer.

JaredAG you're right, but it's a 2 hour drive for me :(
I think the Richmond show is why the Dale City show was deserted...everyone (dealers and the like) all went to the big show in Richmond, which is a smart move because bigger show means more people with $$$ :D

I learned the lesson about Dale City a long time ago. If there is another big show like Chantilly, Richmond etc etc on the same weekend as the Dale City show you can hang it up. The better dealers will go where they can get more customer exposure.
