Hey guys. I shoot some local USPSA events and have switched from my 1911 to my G17. I have it currently set up to shoot Limited/Minor and am looking for some mag extensions. I already have the plastic +2's and have seen some of the 140mm aluminum extensions from Aredondo and such. I was curious if anyone knows of a company that makes stainless or brass 140mm base plates? I'm looking for a little added weight along with my Glockmeister brass magwell and tungsten guide rod.
This winter I'll be building a LWD .40 upper so I can shoot majors next year. It's a 3rd gen 3-pin frame, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm just looking for these plates now.
Thanks in advance.
Gavin

Geezy petes, two days and only 1 person has looked at this thread? Not many competitors on GT?
Limcat makes brass pads, but I dont know if he makes them for Glocks.
Too much weight is bad. Slow to start moving and hard to stop.
I like the Grams basepads. Gets me 23+1.

Thanks for the help. I think I'll go with the grams. I couldn't find anything on the Limcats.
Dawson Precisions makes one for Glocks. You can either buy it form here : www.shootersconnection.com or www.dawsonprecision.com
Here from dawsonprecision's website http://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=MAGAZINE+PARTS:DP+Base+Pads

Ya, I'm looking to add a little weight for stability and to get a quick clean mag drop. I know if it's too heavy then you start slow and can overshoot the target, but even with my brass magwell, tungsen guiderod and stainless/brass baseplates it won't be as heavy as most open and limited double stack 1911's.
