id think leo but he doesnt have a thing on his belt. Even with tactical vests, the more room we have the more we carry...

I spy a set of keys
I agree with LEO. You dont always wear a duty belt with tac gear.
That boy's got some muscles under the gear too.
IMHO........... mall ninja.
POS vest.
POS optic on AR.
POS thigh rig.
The vest mounted BUG isn't a bad idea, but I still don't think he is LEO.

The problem with the vest cross-draw BUG is that, assuming you're using a single point sling or something similar, if your rifle malfunctions and you drop it go to your pistol, it will be hanging right in the way of your draw. The thigh rig or a strong side belt rig is the way to go for such an application.

Wel, that and the way he has it mounted screams "take me".
He is your new instructor at tactical school. Now please pay attention to the new uniform policies.

I agree, a vest mounted pistol would be a PIA to transition to. However, thats not what I meant in my post.
My thinking, and I more than likley will be proven wrong, is that a vest mounted pistol might be a good location for a BUG (back up gun). Meaning you would still have your primary handgun in a belt or thigh rig. However, I think if I were going to try mounting a BUG to my vest, I would mount/rig it for a week hand draw.
For example, I am right handed, I would mount the BUG on the left side of the vest. Sort of like a left handed belt holster, but with a slight cant rearward of the grip of the handgun.
Sorry, I am just spit balling here.
He has Captain's bars on his collar
from the other thread, he states he's a captain in the LE...:O)
looks a little "Weird" (for lack of a better word right now) but i don't know very much bout AR's :O(

Whether or not this guy is a LEO or not, before you buy the rifle you really need to take a very close look at the guts (sear, sear pin and hammer and look for other tool marks) in this receiver, receiver markings (who made the receiver and other receiver stampings) and the barrel assembly. Anything the seller tells you will not protect you from getting in trouble. ATF will make you prove a negative which is harder to do when you buy second hand.
