First off . . . I want to thank all of you for the wealth of info I found on this site! Very helpful. I am truly now one of you.
I had a deal on a Glock 23 fall into my lap that I couldn't pass up. So I snagged it. The pistol has seen light use but has been carried a bit. Some of the finish is worn on the top end, but it's meant to be a carry weapon anyway right?
Deal included the 2nd gen 23 with Mepro true dot sights, leather Galco shoulder rig, 2) 10's, 1)NFML 13 w/+2 base, 1) 13 FML, original tupperware, loading tool and the registration card. I got everything for $400. Did I do OK? The guy has been out of work for some time and needed the cash. He set the price so I don't feel bad about the deal.
Neither of the standard cap mags will lock the slide on empty. I'm guessing I can stretch or replace the springs to solve this? Everything else looked good. Is there anything else that really NEEDS to be replaced/upgraded? I sent the S/N off to Glockmeister but haven't heard back yet. The # begins w/BKF and has a chrome # plate on the frame so I think I'm OK.
Is there any thing wrong with sending in the registration card if you are not the original owner?
I really wanted the G30, but like I said, this fell into my lap and I couldn't pass it up. Maybe I'll trade it for a 30 in the future . . . if I don't fall in love with it in the mean time.
Now to find some ammo . . . . . .
