Has anyone on this forum carried (TXCHL) into a concert or other venue at the AAC? Need to know if I leave weapon home or not. Doesn't appear to be a clear answer anywhere - even from the AAC management themselves.

I attended Promise Keepers there in '06, and they had metal detectors at the doors and did not allow CHL carry.

The only other events I have been to there were professional sporting events, which are prohibited under Penal Code 46.035.

Last time I was there they had metal detectors at the doors and checked bags....

I was there a little over a month ago for an investment course. Not Medal detectors, no signs, just walk in and sit down. I carried all weekend and never had a problem.

That is interesting... Thanks - I guess they are selective about application which makes the policy even more suspect.

That's different compared to a concert or game.

I know Stars/Mavs games are posted (not that they have to be, against state law W/O a posting), and there are metal detectors. They would not even let me bring in a small sub-3" folder and pepper spray last year. I have not been back.
