Buy a Saiga here,http://www.rrarms.com/catalog.php?prod=GIZ137,and convert it to the standard AK style rifle. Converting a Saiga at home is not too difficult and there is pleanty of conversion info on the Saiga site.

As they said, look at Saiga's. I have one that is a great
shooting gun. No longer run my Cetme as the Saiga
"does it better". the only down fall is the mags.
Saiga mags can run $50 each for a 20 rd. mag,
my Cetme LOVES G-3 mags at $1. each .
The conversion of a 308 is the best of all Saiga's.
In less then 2 hours you will have an AK in .308.
Just need a dremill!!!

I know of a guy that developed a mag well but it requires extensive modification of the receiver and he has yet to decide whether or not to produce the item. Other than that, some people have hacked G3 mags but I don't believe anyone has had any real success with it. You have to remove way too much metal.

That is nice.
There was a draganov clone a few years ago. I want to say it was Romanian.
