My holster does most of the refinishing on mine. I got a million of 'em!

I sent a G19 slide to CGW, http://cgwgun.com/, on November 13. I'm eagerly awaiting it's return. Total cost $51.40: stripped slide refinishing $42; shipping and insurance $9.40. It's my Christmas present to myself, along with another G19 (shhh, it's a surprise).

Yup I know Full Auto's are legal but require a $200 tax stamp. I own a FA MP5K-PDW. But your picture didnt look like it was a "real" full auto with full auto sear. some people just have the neat little receiver that shows full auto but no full auto sear.

I'm not sure about non full auto guns w/ the f/a trigger pack. That wouldn't make any sense at all. This is not a "sear" gun, it's a registered receiver "push pin" gun. Meaning that I can buy any part I want directly from HK and drop it right in. There is no modification required.

Hey Belgian, is that AR15 considered a SBR ?

Belgian Glocker
12-31-2007, 11:28
the AR is in fact an airsoftrifle that I use in Airsoftgames. an the one below on the right is my .177 trainig pistol in case anyone was wondering.
but the L1A1 (FN FAL) is a genuine .308 win. and the glocks are 9 x 19mm in case anyone was wondering about that.

ps. can anyone elaborate on the SBR part in the message from mp5a3?
don't understand that sorry:whistling:

#1 Why isn't the tip orange???

#2 SBR=Short Barreled Rifle. You have to be approved by the ATF and get a tax stamp for any rifle with a barrel shorter than 16ish (I think it's 16.5) inches. Some people are assuming that Airsoft gun is a real gun which if it was it would have to registered as a SBR.

United States

* Under Federal Law,
o Airsoft guns are not classified as firearms and are legal under federal law, as well as the laws in each state. However, in some major cities and population centers the definition of a firearm within their respected ordinances includes propulsion by spring or compressed air, thus subject to applicable laws.
o A 6 mm minimum orange tip must be present on the barrel end of the airsoft gun to identify it as such for any commercial sales. [1] Once sold, local laws may vary on whether or not the orange tip must be kept - in many places, no laws exist restricting one from removing or replacing the orange tip, but one should check the local laws before making such a modification.
o Airsoft guns' trademarks must be removed where the manufacturer does not have an existing license agreement with the manufacturer of the real fire arm. For example: Classic Army has a licensing agreement with Armalite, so the trademarks can stay on imported replicas of Armalite's weapons. In practice enforcement is hit or miss. You might get an "unlicensed" gun through customs with trademarks intact, while a licensed gun might be held in Customs by an uninformed customs agent. House Resolution 607, sponsored in early 2007, would change this if passed, allowing imports to retain trademarks even if there is no agreement between the real firearms manufacturer and the replica manufacturer.[2]
o In addition, the similarity between genuine firearms and airsoft replicas is close enough to provoke interaction with local law enforcement personnel if an airsoft gun is carried openly in public.
o If someone were to, for example, attempt a robbery with an airsoft gun, they would be charged as if the airsoft gun were a real firearm.[citation needed]
* New York City requires that all realistic toy or imitation firearm be made of clear or brightly colored plastics; furthermore, New York City makes possession of any air pistol or air rifle or similar instrument in which the propelling force is a spring or air, unlawful without a license. See New York City Administrative Code § 10-131(b) and New York City Administrative Code § 10-131(g)(1)(a)[3]. The rest of New York State is unaffected by these laws, and there are no state regulations limiting or prohibiting airsoft.
* Michigan restricts the purchase of these guns so that they may only be purchased from a licensed retailer. Black Market retailers are also a source for purchasing airsoft guns in Michigan.
* Texas allows Airsoft guns to be owned but most cities require that the Airsoft guns be discharged only while outside city limits.

Might want to check your local laws on that orange tip

my assumption would be that laws in Belgium are different than US laws regarding Airsoft..

in Belgium the tips of airsoftrifles don't need to be orange.

Thanks for clarifing that for him jeep. I'm pretty used to using acronyms. I didn't look too close at the gun. Just kinda glanced.

Wow, I guess people take that Airsoft stuff pretty seriously. I've noticed a lot of people are getting into it..

Let us know how it turns out. Is the finish comparable to the factory finish in new Glocks?

I received the refinished slide just before Christmas. Rich upgraded the shipping at no cost to me so it would be back before Christmas.
I chose the Satin Boron Silver finish, just to have something different. The end result seems very well done.
I'll try to get some pictures up tonight or tomorrow.
