I was able to meet the members and have a shoot today at with the Second Amendment Club here in Pasco County. I had a blast. The people I met were all very nice.
The club is small and growing. About 30 people came out through the day. I attended from 10:15 till 2:30. I was able to fire 180 rounds through my SKS and around 120 through my Glocks.
That happened on the same line. There is one firing line at their range. Whoever is on the line can shoot pistol or rifle. At this time the rifle range is only 35 yards.
Also, they are in the prcoess of building a clubhouse with a meeting room and bath facilities. While on the line I felt safe. The range rules are enforced. We have an RO and acted responsibly. Rapid fire is permitted. Just within reason. No bump firing though. Safety is first!
I'm glad to have a place to shoot with like minded folks, and not have to worry about any JOE walkin in off the street without supervision like the local pistol ranges.
If you live in the area, I suggest looking into the club. This week we shot on a line. Next week we will have a defensive shoot. Moving targets and tactical shooting. The range is open twice a month, on the 2nd saturday for firing line shooting, and on the 3rd saturday for defensive shooting. Also, the range fees are a lot cheaper than most ranges.
Here are some pics: Did not get one of the cluchouse, I was to busy on the range.
