Title says it all. I carry 180 grain HST's in my G27. Wondering if anyone else carries the heavier grain round in their 27 too? Also, anyone have any data on the HST out of a short barrel like the G27 (i.e. fps, how much energy round delivers to the target, etc.)?
Thanks

I have some old 155 HS's in my G27, but it's a safe queen. I have 180 HST's in my G35, which gets carried most often. I haven't chrono'd the HST's from the 27, but I wouldn't feel a bit bad about carrying them in the little pup.

Winchester RA40T 180gr T-series in mine (it's issued).
I used to carry the 165gr RA40TA T-series, and I still have some left, but I prefer the 180gr loads, overall.
If the T-series wasn't available, I'd be carrying either 180gr Golden Sabre (non-bonded) or 180gr Gold Dot (I have both in my ammunition supply).
I do have several boxes of 180gr HST I received from a friend at another agency, buried somewhere in my supply, but I doubt I'll bother digging it out and using it any time soon.
