Wow,.....does this mean I have to post a pic of the '73 Pinto wagon? :dunno:

That's awesome! Sorry but I was feeling like crap, because I couldn't post even one pic to hang with all of those beautiful 1911 specimens. My car pics would normally stroke my ego, but since I lost the vast majority of my net worth in this real estate collapse, I now have a Honda Element as my daily driver. Nothing wrong with it, but it is kinda like going from an Ed Brown to a Sigma:whistling:

Yes, awesome is the word for it. Shame he doesn't build guns anymore, but he's got quite an operation with the parts business. Have you been to the shop? I got my first EGW gun from him (9x21 Open Caspian) 2 shops ago. George Smith (EGW owner) used to be a heck of a competitor too back when he was shooting the USPSA circuit.

A Short Flat trigger? I like it.

Actually, I was there when he made it. He started with one of his long triggers (probably the same one that is in BACs gun shown above). He put it in a machine and put this flat long piece in that spun, which cut the trigger down while still keeping the serrations.

Back then, EGW was only 20 minutes away. Now it's a little more than an hour.

The can has a booster so it WILL cycle. However, I just got that barrel (storm lake) in and it needs to be fitted better before I will shoot it. Its a little rough coming out of battery.....After its fitted, yes it will run like a champ.

Cool.

A couple months back I actually thought about changing to a black leather background and giving the carpet a rest.

It was designed for LEO's and similar people as a last ditch/can only carry a knife type situations. It's definitely NOT for utility, it's made for self defense only.

ask knedrgr, he met the guy i did the trade with. he's a tacticool fool. he asked knedrgr what Glock he was selling, then the tactifool went on about his G19's....blah, blah, blah...so i'm guessing that he still has it. sadly i don't have the compact anymore, but IIRC i doubled my money. the other trade i did with that guy was a G23 for a SA Micro Operator. that was a straight trade too, and yes i sold it for a profit.

I had been looking for one for a long time. They stopped making them a while back, but I'm not sure when. My brother and I went to Bud's in Paris, KY a while back, just to look around. Lo and behold, there sat this thing. I probably paid more than I should have--$600, but I wanted it, and had the cash. The fact that it's a Light Weight is a plus.

One of these days I'll have it refinished, and maybe a flat trigger, if I can find anyone to get their opinion of them. :whistling:

So you are saying I will have to sell my Para Ordnance C6 LDA too!?Honestly, I have no idea. I'm completely ignorant of the resale values of any Para Ordnance pistols.

I was just stating that, IMHO, going from a P.O. to a Kobra Carry (or CBOB) would be an upgrade (just as I believe it would be for me to switch from my TLE). Then again, I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to 1911's, so I could be off base here.

I'll play.

Are those VZ Recons or Gunner grips?

I planned to go shooting today but the damned lake effect snow says otherwise...

I am planning to see how these two compare, without bias

And hopefully get this ones round count up in the process so I can use it for HD with my 870.
