Gentlemen,

I'm getting a 35, and want to shoot IDPA/IPSC with it, as well as occasionally carry it OWB. What are your recommendations for an OWB holster that is... A) comfortable for carry and B) decent for competition? I'm kind of partial to kydex.

Thanks much,

Koski

Comp-tac locking paddle.

It's comfy, adjustable, and very darn fast too. Not exactly the most low-profile OWB, but that's one reason it's fast. IDPA legal.

I use one of these for my Glock 35 in IPSC. I love it. I really makes the gun easy to grab.

You can buy the Tek-loc and install just the holster part when you want a closer to the body fit and for IDPA.

Steve,

I used to use a Blade-Tech offset drop holster with speed cut for playing the gun games. It does not conceal as well as others. I now use a Sidearmor, which conceals better and seems to be just as fast. The Sidearmor also feels more secure since it fits closer to your body.

Steve, I like the Blade-Tech injection molded holster. The belt model is the lowest riding of several holsters I have tried. The price is right also. BTW the offset drop holster is not legal for IDPA unless you are a female.

I use the Blade-Tech belt holster for both IDPA and concealed carry.

Thanks fellas. I appreciate the experienced feedback. Joe D: No, I flunk the female test.

Blade-Tech is good. A friend likes the Uncle Mikes (modified with a spring to adjust tension). My favorite is a Ky-Tac, as it allows a very fast draw (for someone better than me).

I use both a Blade-Tech and a Ky-Tac. I feel the Ky-Tac is faster and it goes on and off the belt without having to loosen the belt and pass it through the holster loop(s). The Blade-Tech however, is made so that it can straddle a belt loop if you desire. I'd recommend either one.
