View Full Version : Vulcan AK's
I am searching for my first AK and am trying to decide between a Vector or a Vulcan. I am aware of Vector's excellent reputation, but have not specifically heard anything about Vulcan. Anyone own a Vulcan or had the chance to examine/fire one? How do the fit, finish, etc. compare to Vector? Thanks
I've heard that you should stay away from Vulcan (formerly Hesse). Iwouldn't even trade my WASR 10 for a Vulcan. I have a Vector polish underfolder, and it's my favorite AK. I put almost 1000 rounds through mine without a hiccup.
Happy Hunting!!!:supergrin:

Don't waste your money on a Vulcan. The Vector is an excellent AK.

Vulcan = very bad news.
Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'm getting a Vector.

You mean there is actually an AK worse than the WASR ?!?!
You're right Crusher47, I'd rather get a USED WASR 10 than a NIB Vulcan. Not that I need another one.

Who said anything about "need" ? :whistling::supergrin:
Ugggh... Vulcan = Hesse Arms = Worst rifles ever produced by human beings.
Hesse Arms used to market their own AR-15 series of rifles, and even went so far as to claim in their ads that their rifles were "widely used by members of US law enforcement and military". Their reputation for crap rifles was so widespread that the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, was bailed out by some other company, and later renamed to Vulcan Arms.
Sad thing is... it's the same crappy rifles, just under a different name.
