I am posting this for all, but also hoping for a reply from G21-30. In a message he stated that a person with a C&R FFL can attend the armorer's course - well, I've got one - how do I go about this and what does it cost? I am in SC and it's a quick hop over into GA.
Thanks,
Brian
Brian,
Call Glock at the main number (you will have to search for it) and ask for training. Ask the lady to send you the Armorer Course schedule, because you have an FFL. Don't volunteer that it is C&R. It is an FFL! Glock only allows LEO, some military, and FFLs to attend the course. The first class is $85 and 8 hours long. The advanced class (like Front Sight is advertising at $600-$800) is about $350 (I will look it up and let you know tomorrow) and 3 days long and may include shooting. You must take the 8 hour class first. After the advanced class, you can purchase the deluxe armorer's tool/part set. Without the advanced class, you can still purchase directly from Glock at dealer cost. The basic class provides you with a certificate good for two (2) discounted Glock pistols with 10 round mags, unless you are LEO, then you get hicaps.
Good Luck
