sauce is what covers pasta!!!!

Everyone in my Dego family called it GRAVY! We just knew what color it was by what the meal was. Spaghetti was red gravy, Roast beef was brown gravy.

When I hear sauce I think of Bearnaise or Hollandaise, something that lightly covers a food. I don't know about you but I never have dipped a chunk of bread into a pot of Hollandaise sauce, but a simmering pot of gravy is a magnet for a chunk of fresh bread. :eat:

My future SIL is Italian and her family refer to it as Gravy. I had to ask if she ment Gravy Gravy or sauce. I had no clue that was what they called it. :embarassed:
