View Full Version : Computer stuff free to a good home near Louisville KY
I have six IBM 15" monitors and about as many IBM (and other) Pentium II PCs, all in working order, with keyboards and mice. Would like to give them away if you come pick them up in St. Matthews or if you meet me at a match event.
Thought about donating them to charity? SCE in St. Matthews might be interested. I'll ask a friend of mine who works there. Also, I know your wife is into animals. Do any of the local animal shelters need any? Schools might need them too. You could get a tax write off that way too.
Good ideas all. My wife works for the city's Metro Animal services and the City's IT dept can't use them. Unfortunately the animal shelters won't have anything to do with me because my wife works for Metro Animal Services (politics). Schools have nicer (newer) computers than these.
If I still have them a week from now I'll take them to the city's recycling center.
could I build a computer for my son to surf the web?
Do I have to take it all?
nope, just take what you need. Email me a time when you can come by. I can't make it Tuesday.
Hey Dom, if you still have those monitors. I need two of them if possible. My 21" CRT burnt out a couple of months ago. I'll call you in the morning and see if we could meet up. Thanks!
If you've still got some stuff, I'll swing by and pick some up....and don't give Gene two monitors...he doesn't need them!
Gene, Wes, I have plenty of 15" crt monitors (NOT flatpanel LCDs) to go around. I am actually going to have even more stuff on the Friday after Christmas. Maybe we can get together next weekend and you guys can come over and take a look at it. I'll also have a few Pentium IIIs and some PIIs. We booted this old dell we found up and it had Windows For Workgroups 3.1 on it. :wow:
My moms computer is dying. I'd love a P III. I P/Med you.
