Took the AR out to the range today and had problems right off the bat. I'd chamber a round from the magazine, fire, it would cycle another round and then act like it wasnt cocked. I'd use the charging handle and eject the live round that didnt fire and strip another one from the magazine and it would fire. The ejected live round had a light strike on the primer.
Strange, so I get it home and the bolt is dirty as hell! The last range day I went through a hundred rounds of wolf and did a light cleaning of the chamber but nothing on the bolt.
Any ideas, do you think it will run now since I gave the bolt a thorough cleaning? I mean even inside the firing pin channel was dirty!! Never seen anything like it.
******** UPDATE
Problem turned out to be a missing disconnector spring! Without it it was behaving in the manner described above. Also note that the rifle went full auto for 2 rounds which was funny
