I have fired 2000rounds out of my G31c now and I want to purchase possibly a .357sig in the 226 frame. But I cant seem to find one at a range to rent!A matter of fact I have never fired any other .357sig Besides my Compensated model.I want to know how much muzzle flip will it have in comparision with my G31c!And is $765.00 too much for a p226 nitron finish out the door,It seems to high! Not even SIG-LITES on it!Brand new in the box w/2mags.

The 226 is the best platform Ive found for launching the 357sig. muzzle rise is about the same as a full size glock 357 and that is a reasonable price. Sigs are the Caddillac of handguns.

The 226 does handle the .357 well; I have tried the one at the range several times. The 239 seems a bit top heavy to me. I like the way the 229 balances best. Probably because I have a 228.
But that is just my take. The 226 is cetainly a good one.
I just think the price is high; seen them at $690 if you shop around.
Good luck!

Practice: I only own one pistol and it's a P226 in 357SIG. I've shot a few other pistols in different calibers but I have to say I like mine best. I can't really give you any kind of objective comparison other than price. I bought mine a couple months ago, NIB from an FFL in Oregon for $575 including shipping. I don't know if he has any more at that price, but I'd be happy to hook you up with him if you're interested. Let me know your e-mail address and I'll send it to him.

The only hi-caps avaible in the 357sig for the P226 is 12round mags available only to Law enforcement. And with sigs, you WILL have to keep it clean or else it WILL rust on you.... I don't care what ANYONE says, they DO rust. But they are damn fine weapons.
