I am interested in building a open gun out of my G34...I am looking for any advice or experience in building one...like what barrel...what bullet and load combos are good.....sights, and any other parts recommendations....Thanks!!!

If you are going to use a G34 you are pretty much limited to using 9x21. As to what bullet weight to use, that is going to depend a lot on what kind of comp and/or barrel porting you use. As for what barrel to use, I would use a Bar Sto.

Usually, it's best to build one out of a 3 pin receiver since the loads necessary to make Major are pretty hot and the locking block can use the extra support.
Most use lighter bullets (115g) when using a comp'ed gun. KKM, Barsto and others make threaded barrels which can have a comp attached (like T.H.E). If I recall, Matt likes to use a 17 slide (which he lightens) due to it's lighter weight.
Anyway, Matt can answer the questions himself, he has the most experience doing it than anyone I know.
