View Full Version : Orlando Area Gun Related Shopping
Do you guys recommend a place to shop for accessories in this area? I've tried Al's Army/Navy, Gander Mountain and the mysterious Shoot Straight chain.
I appreciate any help!

I too need to find a gun store down here around Sanford/Orlando. Gander Mountain is too pricey.
I use East Orange Shooting Sports. They are in the Winter Park area. Here is their website. www.eastorangess.com.

How nice and safe is this place? Are they over-priced at all? Can you bring your own ammo and can you ccw inside? I hate the ranges that won't let you carry.

Yes, you can bring your own ammo. It is nice and safe in my opinion. They make everyone shoot one round a second and they watch you on the closed circuit tv to make sure.
Yes, you can carry concealed inside. Their signage says basically that if you are going to use the firearm or have it worked on it has to be unloaded. After asking about it the owner WANTS you to carry in his store.
As far as overpriced goes it is a little high. I find that with most firearms I could find a better price online but after transfer fees and shipping it is about the same. If you buy a firearm from them they will take care of it. Their prices on accessories is right at suggested retail. Not to bad and again you don't have to pay shipping.
I rather support a local store anyways. Local economy etc.
I like them, they are the best place locally that I know of.
They are good to us 50 year olds, 5.00 to use range Monday thru Thursday, 10am thru 1pm.

I've always liked going to to Oak Ridge Gun Shop/Range. Never bought a gun from them, indoor range is kinda small, but always thought they were nice guys. I bought my Glock from Pace Outfitters in Altamonte Springs only because I get the law enforcement discount through them. Range at Riegs on O.B.T. is ok, but haven't been there in a while. I've also been to Universal Arms ? on South O.B.T., thought it was nice, they're associated with the gun range on John Young Pkwy across the street from Orange County Jail. THEY allow rapid fire!
