Anybody got their carry permit lately?

Mine from Fayette County is taking a while to come in the mail. Just wondering how long it took to get yours. I applied on November 1st and still haven't seen anything in the mail.

Thanks

GeorgiaCarry.Org (http://www.georgiacarry.org/) has put together a handy guide for checking the progress of your GFL application: http://www.georgiacarry.org/cms/georgias-carry-laws-explained/trust-but-verify/

I highly recommend joining GCO (http://www.georgiacarry.org/cms/about/georgiacarryorg-membership/).

Your friend needs to follow the link posted above by MZMTG and follow sthe given steps. State law says 60 days.

Also, +1 on joining GCO.

GCO is doing more to protect and take back the rights of gun owners in Georgia than any other organization.

So.. you still haven't gotten your GA permit? Its good for 5 years if it hasn't been that long yet.. Can you get your money back that you paid when you applied?

nah... just got frustrated and walked away form it.... the last time i checked on it and it "wasn't back yet" i told them to forget it since i was moving across the river anyway. not worth any further discussion to me. that wasn't the only reason i moved across the river... but it was a factor in deciding on which house i was going to buy when the list was narrowed to just a few and my wife and i were making our final decision. Schools was the biggest factor, price and value, property value prospect, gun permit, neighborhoods... ect.

8 biz days?!?! Hell,,, I got mine about 2 years ago and it took the better part of 8 months. I was a cook at the time and my fingers were too calaused and cut to be recognized by the digital print machine. I had to get printed 3 times. 2ce digitally and then once with ink and they had to send the actual hardcopy to the GBI, and NCIS (I think thats where they send it...)

Well worth the wait, but damned frustrating.

It took me 90 days to get mine over a year ago using carded fingerprints. Now that we have live-scan for fingerprints my wife got hers in 1 day if you do not count the weekend. There are other similar cases of just a day few days.

wow.. as stated above, it took me 3 months to get my permit.

I just got my fiancee a Smith model 60 and went with her to get her permit in Birmingham.
It took less than 2 minutes for her to get hers.. no fingerprint check.. just a photo ID.
good for them, but then they have to renew every year with $20 by mail.
