I'm new to .40 S&W (G23). I was surprised to see that the available target ammo (Winchester & Speer Lawman 180gr/FMJ) was "flat-nosed". I thought some semi-autos have reliability problems with "SWC" type ammo? In fact, I had 2 misfeeds out of first 250 rounds with my new G23. I've never had a misfeed with "round-nosed" FMJ target ammo with my Kimber .45 or Browning Hi-Power 9mm, and I was disappointed. Otherwise, I like the 23, but should I be using different target ammo to troubleshoot the new Glock?

The .40 round is designed to have a flat nose, not round.

What kind of malfunctions did you have? It might be ammo, but it could be a lot of things.

Thanks for info Gary re .40 cal design. One round (last of 10) jammed and did not feed to chamber. The other round (5th of 10) was ejected cleanly (unfired cartridge) and the Glock 23 continued to cycle the remaining rounds ok.
