ISPs in St. Pete Area

I will be moving to St. Pete in February and have a choice of two Internet - cable companies: Knology or Brighthouse. Do any of you folks have any recommendations or input on these two? Thanks.

Im moving from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa as soon as I sell here. Which I hope will be in January. I have Brighthouse at our home and Tampa and have heard good things about it. You should check to see if you can get the Verizon Fios (fiber optic) internet there. Its so fast it makes comcast look slow. I know its available at my place in Tampa.

All the folks I know in the Tampa/St. Pete area use Brighthouse.

I live in St. Pete and use Brighthouse. I never have to think about it - it just works, even managed to pay my bill a month late by accident and my service was not interrupted.
I have no experience with Knology but have been told by a co-worker that did have Knology that they "suck"...

I work for BrightHouse and I feel that we have the best customer service, hands down. Plus, you don't need a contract with us, unlike Verizon.

There is also rumors running around that the bandwidth of our standard cable modem service is about to be bumped up again.:whistling:
