Is this not good or should not be used at all for carry purposes?I Just put my first 3-1/2lb connector in my 31c.

Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire (as usual) abd you will be fine. Be sure to use a holster that covers the trigger.

Ditto.

If you need your gun, the BG won't know 3.5 for 5.5. Just be certain you must shoot. If so, you could battla or howlitzer the BG.

The BG might not know a 3.5 from a 5.5, but you can be d@mn sure his lawyer will. I wouldn't do it unless it greatly enhances your performance.

Stay with the 5.5 lb. The 3 is to musshy and I dont want to explain
to a judge why I needed to modify to that MAN KILLING trigger.

Just one mans opinion........

Occasionally my Glock 35 sits in my nightstand. In the unlikely event that I had to shoot someone during a break in, I guess I would be okay in court since the 3.5# connecter is a stock part for the glock 35. Of course you have to keep it in a solid holster and keep your finger off the trigger, but that should be true for any trigger weight anyway.

"but your honor, it's not my fault that the gun came in the box with a man killing trigger" (only true for guns like the g35)

Is someone really going to be able to tell whether you have a 3.5lb versus a 5lb connector in your Glock? Unless you volunteer that information, who cares? Besides, every time you hear of someone accurizing other pistols, it usually involves trigger work. Same deal. I hit better with the 3.5lb connector, so I install them in all of my Glocks. It's a factory part.

Just tell whomever that the 3½ # trigger is more accurate and you did this to prevent shooting an innocent bystander..;b

i find the #3.5 less mushy than the #5.5 when i first carried i was nervous and scared of my pistol discharging so i carried the 3.5/ny1. with experience, practice and training i realized that won't happen if i KEEP MY D*** FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER until i'm ready to fire!

a #3.5 actually yields around #4 give or take for polishing. most consider less than ACTUAL #3.5lbs of pull a "hair trigger". it doesn't matter what trigger you have in your gun, you meant to shoot or you didn't. if you're justified it doesn't matter what you shoot bad guy with.

The bottom line is if the shooting is justified, ie, you feared for your life, you couldn't flee or seek cover, he was attacking and you weren't the aggressor, and the bad guy was about to cause serious harm or death to another, no sound minded prosecutor will press charges against you.

More and more police departments are issuing Kimber 1911s, HKP7s, and G35s. Think most of them are different and have lighter triggers and the first two are single action.

Look, my position is I enjoy shooting my guns accurately. And the 3.5 # connector helps most people do that. Please show me one prosecutor or plaintiff's attorney in a wrongful death case who can beat that statement?

I'd say the modification made the gun more accurate and that local police departments are carrying the same connector in their issue guns. And if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me. Or would you rather me use a lethal weapon knowing it is less accurate that it can be, mr. prosecutor? Or let the BG rape my wife and sodomize my kids? That would be irresponsible! Sorry but I'd take someone out with a butter knife if that's all I had to protect my family.

But the bottom line is why did you shoot?

What did you shoot only truly becomes relevant when you use an AR-15 and unload a 30 round clip into a BG. After the second or three shot stopping him, you'd have a problem with perception and using excess force. All of the tree hugging liberals would be after your carcass!

Remember, shoot to stop that's it! Yell, I don't want to shoot you just before your shoot so you can say you warned the BG. Let the BG go if all he's going for is a replaceable. And immediately call 911 and the police and give them your description and let them know about the shooting. But call your attorney first before giving them any statements.

BOT - Many people carry 1911s with quick light trigger pulls. No big deal. Just keep your finger off of the trigger until you must shoot. And hopefully this will all be theoretical.

Taking a good self defense pistol course is the best thing you can do to avoid any liability.
