women and the G30? [Archive]

I am a woman and I carry one. The grips feel fine to me but am I the exception? Any other women comfortable with the grip size?

My wife finds it a little thick but can still shoot it. Hates the recoil though. With grip extensions I'm good to go. Fits perfectly.

I've had a girl outshoot me with mine. Didn't seem to have a problem with the grip at all, and she doesn't have big hands.

One of my local shooting buddies bought a G30 for his petite, 110# wife. She definitely doesn't have large hands, and loves her G30.

My wife has really small hands but she can shoot the 30 well. She prefers her 36, though.

My wife has small hands, hates the 30, the 36 is OK but for some crazy reason loves her 1911. What in the world do you have to do to get them to listen?? Craig

I took a girlfriend shooting a couple weeks ago, and it was her first time shooting. I helped her shoot the 30, by providing assistance in her stance, grip, trigger pull etc, and after all that ... she loved it. In fact, she was so impressed with herself for shooting a 45 first time out of the gate, that when she took my 19 and shot off a mag of 9mm, she said "hmm .. the other gun (the 30) is more fun to shoot".

A little big for her, but she likes...liked it. She just had carpal tunnel surgery and even a 22 is out of the question right now..;1

My wife in 5'4" and 125lbs and used it for her CCW qualifying. It was the instructors and he suggested she use it since i was considering purchasing one from a fellow LEO of his. She shot great and really liked the gun. I now carry it most of the time as she likes her G26 better for concealability and reduced weight.
