View Full Version : IDPA in Eastern PA?
I'm trying to find a place to shoot IDPA in Eastern PA (Lehigh Valley area). I've sent many, many emails to the contact listed for the Easton club but I have never received anything back. I have more or less given up on them. I've called and left a message for the contact at Hellertown but have not received a call back.
I'm beginning to wonder if these guys are actually looking for new shooters...
Anyone have any suggestions for some other clubs/area shoots? I'd really like to shoot more often...
Thanks in advance!
I shot at Easton a few years ago. Then, at least, they were receptive to new shooters and responded to e-mails. I stopped because the travel time for me was almost 3 hours and Sunday mornings I often have other commitments, not because of any problems at the shoots. I'm a bit surprised to hear they haven't responded. You might check out the IDPA forum at http://p075.ezboard.com/bidpaforum if you haven't already. IIRC, the same folks who run the Easton shoots during the summer also do the shoots at Yeadon year around. If all else fails, watch the web page and the forum in the spring for the first matches on the year and just show up...that worked for me! Good luck!!
I'm the MD for the IDPA matches at Easton. what do you need?
Also, what email addy were you trying?
Thanks for replying. I used the email address that is listed on www.idpa.com website: firstname.lastname@example.org. I sent 3 or 4 emails and never got a reply.
I'm looking for information on when the shoots are, how to get there, details about the matches (equipment, etc...). Could you give drop me an email or give me an email address that works and I can get in touch with you?
Sorry, never got your email.
Will PM you with info.
The following club has IPDA events on the second Sunday of every month. I don't think you have to be a member to shoot at these events. The club is located off of Route 33 near the intersection of Route 209 in Snydersville/Sciota.
Ted is a very straight shooter(not a pun, BTW) and he'll not put you wrong. That said, here's a link to a site that lists scores for many clubs in eastern PA:
I'm providing this as it has a plethora of links to several IDPA clubs in eastern PA, AWA other info you may find interesting or valuable. Pick one club that you may find interesting or close. Come on out and observe if you're unsure, ask all the question you like. I look forward to seeing you and all other new shooters on the range!
