View Full Version : GAP Ammo
So I went to Sportsmans Warehouse the other day to get some WWB GAP ammo. Sold out. :crying: So I decided to go to Gander Mountain to pick up a box for 22.99. Soon as I got to the counter looked down...27.99!!! I ran out the door almost having a heart attack. Must of been first of the year ammo price jump?
Where are some cheap online ammo prices?
I've not seen them that high anywhere. But then, the last I looked was the end of December. Could they have jumped $8 in one month????
Thank God I reload. I just loaded up 200 rounds of GAPs today, and all for probably about $7/50 or so. I have a GIANT jug of Alliant Bullseye that was given to me by an LE friend. It is many years old, but it was still sealed. Works like a champ! Still goes bang.
Try www.natchezss.com or www.cheaperthandirt.com or www.ammoman.com
I checked the above sites, and basically they're no cheaper than what I can get locally. Oh well.....

Ammoman is $350 for 1000 rounds (20 boxes) delivered - that comes out to $17.50/box. I picked up 500 rounds of GA Arms at a gun show for about $14.50 per 50 rounds (although I don't know if they're in the Northeast. Anyhoo - -enjoy your GAP!

AAA+++ for GA Arms .45GAP at the shows.
Another pssoble place to check out are GunBroker's ammo auctions. There are several .45GAP auctions under $20.00. Here is one: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=89773702
or
500 rounds of Remmington Black Talon at $175. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=89765435

Even if you got it for $19.00 they tack another $9.00 for shipping. (plus $2/add'l box) So in the end, it ain't no deal afterall.

I agree that $19.00 + $2.00 is a $21.00 box of ammo, but it sure is better than the $27.99 (see top of thread).
Yes, but it's $19.00 plus $9.00 shipping for one box...making it a $28.00 box. Each add'l box is another $2.00 on top of that. Hardly worth it. I can buy Federal 230 gr. hollow points locally for $20.55 in single box quantities.
Ammunition to go has Remington 230 gr HP GAP ammo for $17.95/bx or 500 round case for 175.95 plus shipping. It's not bad ammo for range use.
