View Full Version : Lone Wolf Barrel for G21 SF or Jarivs
I want to get a threaded barrel for my G21SF. Are the Lone Wolf barrels any good. Is it better to buy a Javis barrel. I don't care for the cost. I just want one that works without fking up my gun or having to custom fit it.
1. Is the barrel the same for a 21 and a 21SF
2. Are the Lone Wolf barrels drop in. I dont want to have to go to a gun smith to custom fit my barrel.
3. Thanks

I recently bought the Lone Wolf barrel for my G21. It works great in both my G21 and my G21 SF. I've use it in both for about a month now and have not noticed any issues at all. It drops in both guns without any fitting.
I also have one for my G30. No issues with it either.
I'm like you; I don't mind paying more if I need to to get one that actually drops in and works as it should. Thought I'd try the Lone Wolf first. Looks like it's going to be fine and no need to spend more money.
The only thing I don't really care for is the crazy wolf etching on the barrel, but since it's only for the shooting range and not carry, guess it doesn't matter. My son thinks that's the coolest part, however. Guess I'm getting old.
good news.....
I also don't care for the kitty cat logo either. I figure if they want me to advertise their logo they should give me 50% off the price. I belive the black barrel does not have the logo.

Most brands put their logos on their products...Every car manufacturer does it. Do you complain to them that you want 1/2 off of a car if you're going to be advertising for them?

My bother owns a Porche, BMW, Audi, Lotus dealership.
Yes, I get a good discount..:whistling:
Plus on a barrel you do not need all the fancy logo siht.

The car logos don't look as bad as that wolf on those barrels. I was going to get a LWD barrel but went with Jarvis because I just can't bring myself to add something that ugly to my Glock on perpose. They might sell more barrels if they get rid of the mutt and just put there name on it.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to bite the bullet (barrel) so to speak.
With FMJ costs soaring, I'm going to load lead. So, in will go the new barrel.
I don't understand what the threads on the end of the barrel are for.
(LWD-TP) I thought these were a straight drop in.:dunno:
I'll be getting one for the 21SF and 19.

Never mind....:whistling:
I see the stock length versus the threaded. :blondmoment:
But on the other hand...I'm still curious about the threads. Wazzup widtat?
The Jarvis barrel I bought was rusted on the inside but not outside. Jarvis gave me such a hard time about it but did refund my money after much protest. He was quick to blame the buyer on this go around.

I have had no problems with my Jarvis barrel. It was a drop in fit and has served me well. LWD barrel would be nice (without the wolf logo) since they clame it is at minimal a factory replacement barrel and cost less than a Glock factory barrel.

Why limit yourself to these 2 brands. One good choice is KKM. I've been shooting one for the last 7 years (over 30,000 rds to date) without problems and it was a true drop in.
Jarvis probably makes a good barrel, it's just that his customer service just sucks. He examined the barrel I bought and could not answer why there was rust only on the inside. He then admitted his barrels sit on the shelf for up to 4 yrs. You've got Barsto, KKM, LW, etc... I'd avoid Olympic and Jarvis just from my standpoint and experience. Good Luck.

I have not tried the LW barrel but I prefer KKM over Jarvis and I have owned several of each.

I just ordered a Lone Wolf and they left off the logo on my request. They will mark them any way you want. It is two weeks extra wait for a black one. A silver one for my 10mm should be here this week sometime. I plan to shoot it Sunday. So far they guys at Lone Wolf really have been helpfull.

It's a lazer engraving process. They can put a logo or design on it or put your caliber and frame serial number on it to make it look almost original. They can also lazer engrave your slide about any way you want.

What happened to "kcolg30 says dont f..k with your glock":dunno:
You can get any Lone Wolf barrel "blind marked" which means the wolf and caliber markings are on the lug (underside). The cost for this service is $5
You can get any stainless barrel Lone Wolf offers refinished in black oxide for $25
Life is full of logos, They are everywhere you turn so get used to it. The stinking loaf of bread you made a sandwich out of has a logo. The vast majority of our customers prefer our wolf logo over the stamped numbers and names that are currently offered by our competitors.
If the wolf logo offends you (that bad) I highly recommend you spend an additional $100 and get a Jarvis, Barstow or KKM. Maybe you could see how much weight you really carry and try a simple experiment. Call Barsto, Jarvis, or KKM and tell them you think their logo (stampings) is offensive or too plain or whatever. See if they will make a plain barrel for you, or maybe blind mark one.
I just purchased a black threaded barrel for my G19 and the wolf is on the side of the lug.
