View Full Version : Ghost 3.5lb Rocket
I have the 3.5 connector in my glocks. I was wondering if it would be worth getting the 3.5 rocket? Anyone use it? In theory it sounds like a pretty good trigger job.

It's an outstanding product and you can get a lot more trigger for your money than some of the higher priced trigger kits. Get the connector from the source rather than someone else as I have met the owner of Ghost because of LE contacts. The price is the same and if you mess up on the install he replaces them for free! It's the only one I carry in my duty gun. The $200 trigger kits can be cut to about $60 bucks with some elbow grease and the right equipment, and I'll help anyone that asks and I'm a certified Dept. Glock Armorer if you need help!
I have 2 ghosts. One on a competition 35 and another on a CCW 23(not a light trigger but installed for the short overtravel). They work and are smooth.

I've been using them in all 4 of my Glocks for a few years now without any problems. Most guys who shoot my guns are amazed at how smooth and 'crisp' the triggers feel compared with stock.

How is the ghost rocket 3.5 connector different from an OEM 3.5 connector?

The OEM connector seems to pull at a higher poundage, it's not electro-polished, and does not have the overtravel tab. The two are night and day apart.

For Liability reasons is the 5.0 Tactical the proper Ghost Connector to purchase for a CCW and are Wolfe springs used in the installation?

According to Ghost's website, the 5.0 lb Tactical (http://www.ghostinc.com/category/50_tactical/) is designed for self-defense and tactical use. I've got it installed in my G36 used for carry. However, if you're really concerned about liability issues, I suggest you keep the stock parts.

The proper connector for a CCW is a matter of opinion and will differ from person to person. I use a 3.5 connector for duty and off duty but we purchase our own weapons. Changing springs in addition to a connector is also up to the individual and will affect trigger pull and proper ignition depending on the model. If you change springs then I would suggest using nothing but Wolfe as they are top notch and provide springs for any purpose, competiton, duty, etc. I personally use a 4lb firing pin spring, reduced power plunger spring, and extra power trigger spring in my G19. That spring combination is recommended for competition use by Wolfe due to the the light pull achieved. The bottom line is don't put your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot, the poundage of the connector is irrelevant!

Good advise,especially the last sentence.
