Which handguns do Police carry in South Carolina?
I have a friend here in Florida (that also lives in South Carolina) and he says that the Police don't carry Glocks (as far as he knows), and that most carry a S&W.

SCHP Carries G37, Myrtle Beach, SC have SW99, Horry County PD Glocks, Sheriffs Office has a mix of Glock and Sig. I know some of the upstate departments went to Glock. A lot depends on whats on the state bid that year. Also some departments still have you purchase your own weapon.

Pretty good variety around here. Supposedly some local departments have FN Five-Sevens but i'm not sure if those are daily duty guns or not. Glocks seem to be the most common, with .40 the most common caliber.

I know a few have FNP in 9 and 40 Haven't seen any with the 5.7x28 on most department budgets unless they got free ammo don't know how they could afford them. FN does have a US manufacturing plant near Columbia though.
