I purchased a gently used 36 about a month ago and noticed that my firing hand pinky was a bit sore when I fired the first few rounds through the gun. I had an original mag and one with the Pierce +1 extension. Upon closer examination, I noticed there was about an 1/8" of an inch gap (or slightly less) between the top of the magazine floorplate and the bottom of the grip. The resulting gap is where my pinky finger was getting squished with each fired round.
Well, after firing about 200 rounds through the pistol today, I was surprised to notice that I had developed a nice blister on my pinky from that gap. My G26 doesn't seem to have this gap and I was wondering what I can do to get rid of that extra play in the magazine.
When I push up on the magazine, it will close the gap. When I let go, it will settle back into it's normal resting place with the gap. There have been no malfunctions otherwise.
Any tips would be appreciated.
