I attended a gun show in Lincoln Park, Grand Junction, CO today. I was looking to see what Mosin Nagants might be there. While I was checking the serial numbers on a rifle ( they didn't match by the way ) the vendor started to tell me how good the rifle was, stating that the missmatched numbers were just proof the gun had been reworked and actually added value to it. It had a damaged sight, etc... It was in very poor condition. He wanted $450.00 for it!!! I bought one last week for $79.00 with a great stock AND matching serial numbers, made in Russia.
I hope he didn't find any sucker to buy it. What a thief!!!

That is the reason I do my research before I purchase something.

Yep, the old barn.
i ALWAYS do my HW before buying. i go to the shows testing the venders sometimes. i like to ask stupid little questions and come off like i don't know anything. if they take me for a sucker i start correcting them. if they are good hearted people, i try and have a good conversation with them.
it's my thing. :O)
i hope he dosn't get a buyer...i HATE thieves:steamed:

It is the very reason I no longer go to gun shows, and let my membership expire years ago...
I always play the "fool" at he funshows. It has worked to my benefit several times

At the last show I went to, there was a guy selling Rock Islands for $425 plus tax. I asked him what kind of deal he would make me, and he said that was it. Kept ranting about having to pay for the table, and that shipping cost $40 per handgun now. But just the day before, he told me he bought those guns from a dealer that was going out of business and liquidating. So he didn't even pay shipping on them. All I could think was, if you are an FFL and paying $40 per handgun shipping on a normal shipment of guns, you are an idiot. I could maybe see it on a special order overnight delivery. But your normal supply? Yeah right.
