View Full Version : went to the indy 1500 today and wow
went today (sat) got there about 10am and took over 30 min to get in the door big line. pretty good show ammo prices were very high. Picked up a couple glock 19 15 rnd mags cleaning stuff and a couple ar15 parts other than that just fighting the crowd looking but still had good time. Stopped by HOOTERS on way back home .........always a nice place to grab a bite to eat. This was the most people ive ever seen at the show on a sat morning WOW could hardly walk through.

Got there at 830, wasn't too crowded yet. Went out about 10 to get a pistol for a trade and they were lined around the building to get in!. By the time I finished my deal and went to leave, you could barely get down the aisles. Seemed to be the best turn out I had seen for awhile.
Oh yeah, I traded my MC Operator for a new Kimber SIS. Great "old school" Kimber with internal extractor and NO series II junk. Could live without the hokey SIS letters for slide serrations, but other than that, a great 1911.

I went for the first time yesterday. Arrived around 12:30 and no problems getting inside but it was packed and with the weather it started getting hot inside. Got through the first 2 sections and if it wasn't for a cooling breeze coming in I would have left. Had a good time. I took my nephew who had never been to a gun show and he seemed to have a good time and learned a little.

Walking by the entrance there's always a bunch of folks with stuff for sale/trade just standing. There was a fella there with a Kimber TLE for sale. No one here happens to know who that is/was do they? I'm possibly in the market for one. I know, a needle in a haystack, but you never know.
