View Full Version : Who Carried a Snubbie First - You or Your Spouse?
With me, it was my wife. After my dismal attempt at getting her a pistol, she goes to a gun show and gets a Taurus .357 snubbie. :wow: Course, she grew up with revolvers...
Next I bought me a Taurus 9mm snubbie which she claimed as her 2nd revolver within two weeks. :crying:
Now i have a Model 60 3", and she hasn't seen it yet... :whistling:
What's your story?

ME, My wife doesn't carry. She doesn't like guns but doesn't mind that I love em and carry em. She's slowly warming up to them. Her parents have a bunch of land and she went to watch me shoot last weekend.

My wife doesn't like the snubbies.... I brought my G36 home and she immediately claimed it as her own.

My wife doesn't like the snubbies cause she's in love with her SIG. Therefore, my 640-1 and 34 are safe for the time being.:odie:

Me... as a BUG on duty and as a concealed piece off duty.
Me -- don't have a spouse :) It was my first gun and is my favorite :hearts: (don't tell my XD though!).
Me. My wife carries one but it took a while but now she loves the J frame.
Very not married.

Same here, but mine carries one daily now, as do I and have since 1981.
Welcome, Chief...

My wife she fell in love with a revolver I can not shoot accurately. (Shocking since I have fired weapons all my life and usually stomp people on the range.) The thing doesn't sit well in my hand. So I stick with my G20.

That is great, did not know you had ever seen my little baby, looks just like her! APHofF Purple Heart and the great state of Georgia. The only thing to make it perfect would be the APHofF silver star!
Wife of 37 years has a Taurus 85 but does not carry.
Me 638. 99% of time, But still like to carry my Colt .45 and G-19 -22 as my avatar says.

APHofF Silver Star and Purple Heart (http://www.aphf.org/awards/For_Officers/body_for_officers.html)Ah, heck, he's just a regular cop who did what he had to do when he had to do it. God blesses us with Officers like him and others... but, that is just my very biased opinion.

Ahhhh hell guys I forgot to duck as I was being ambushed by 2 thugs with stolen 9's and a cheap .38.
It happens, just hopefully not to any of you out there. I guess if I had not been ambushed I would have been more ticked off with myself. The APHofF were great for comming and honoring all those involved. The Georgia Governor bestowed upon us the Georgia Govenor's Public Safety Award, and perpetualized us on a granite tablet at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
Belive me the honors were welcomed however I would rather have held onto my annoniminty and good health, and just kept on doing the job I always wanted to do.

I carried a snubby first, but my lovely wife is now on board. Her Sig 239 9mm was a bit much for her much of the time. For a while she was packing a Colt Detective Special with a 3" barrel, but it was mine. Last year for Valentines Day I bought her a S&W 637 and put it in a heart shaped candy box. That is HER gun and she loves it. Ain't love grand!

Well, since I am single, ME.
Me. I've always tried to get her on the wheelgun wagon, but she won't let go of my G19 (which she confiscated....)
My brother's wife loves her 642, so I thought I could get mine to try one, but from the moment she first held one, she said, "Ewww....no....I like my 19." (Don't you mean MY 19, hunny...?:whistling: )
