185, 200, or 230gr for a Glock 39?
Comments, suggestions? Thanks
When looking at SD ammo for my G38 way back when they came out, I narrowed it down to a couple, both of which shot POA=POI. The Win 230gr Ranger-T and the 200gr Speer Gold Dot. Decision ended up turning on simply being able to get a reasonable & reliable supply of the Gold Dots. Ran some through my G39 and I'm stickin' with it.
It's pretty subjective as there's alot of quality stuff available (I've not tried Federal's latest offerings). Is it reliable? Does it hit where you aim? Can you reliably get it regularly enough to suit your practice & carrying needs? Find the one, buy a bunch and enjoy your G39!

My favorites include:
Speer Gold Dot 200gr
Winchester Ranger 230gr
Federal HST 230gr
Federal HydraShok 230 gr
From the G39, I'd look hard at the 200gr Gold Dots.
My 230gr reloads are the most accurate. For carry, I use Federal 185gr HS.
Try the Double Tap 200 gr. Gold Dots. SMOKIN!!!!!!!!!! & accurate!! 1050 fps in my G38.
