View Full Version : XS Big Dot sights....looking for input.
I have a G26 and like the gun, but hate the sights. I did a search on here and looked at different sight threads. I also looked online at the glock store and looked at the XS Big Dot sights. They look pretty good. I like the fact that they are "all light" sights, not just night sites. A few have suggested on here that they are good for fast sight alignment. I'm more interested in combat/ self defense range shooting, around 25' or less. I dont really care about long range target shooting. I'm looking for a good pint, find the front with both eyes open and shoot, sights. Any input on the XS Big Dots would be great. I'd love to see pics with them on!

I took a class with them where we needed to move and shoot, shoot from cover, etc.
They kick ass.

The only mod I make to any of my carry guns is to put XS Big Dots on them as soon as I get them.
I've found nothing faster. I highly recommend them.

I carry a G-26 everyday, and have one for my wife as well.
I put XS-Big Dots on my G-26 and they are great !
They are amazing in low light and they are fast to get on target.
I agree with the post's from other users that they are not tack driving sights - but that is not what they are designed for. I do think as you get used to them your groups will tighten up.
I am going to order another set for my wifes G-26.
I ordered mine from Lone Wolf for $99.95, and installed them myself.
I recommend them or at least getting some sort of low light night sight - I was amazed at the difference the sights make in night time poor lighting shooting.
Thanks, gamboolman....

It's the only sight that rides my self-defense gun. It's like a golf ball on the end of your slide!

Here's another +1 for the XS 24/7 big dots - they are very easy/quick to acquire. I've got 'em on my primary CCW, a glock 30, and on my secondary CCW an officer's sized Para Ord 1911 type.
This product was discussed thoroughly here on Glocktalk (http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=778707) quite recently.
After reading that thread I bought them and they work great.
Thanks guys, all positive feedback, I think I'm ordering them today! Any issue with the Big front dot sliding in and out of a holster?
Also, do they come with install instructions, I'll being doing the job myself.

They come with good instructions and the lock-tite (spelling) that they want you to use. Took me about 10 minutes and I was good to go. Great for me at 25 feet, which is all I do with my G27 anyways. I think you will like them.
The XS sights on my GLOCK 26 fit well within my Comp-tac IWB and Paddle holsters.

1. use search, this has been beaten to death.
2. they're what's on my G30 and have been for years, for shooting in close fast, while moving, etc nothing beats them. And I use them with IWB and belt holsters all the time.

Installing XS Big Dots is easy. We made a short video showing the process.

Oh, and guys.. follow the instructions. I know it's a great testimonial to know that the tritium is so bright that you can find them is the weeds on the firing range after they close.. but it's not much fun. :whistling:

We just received a few of the XS Big Dot's in stock and I have to say I'm impressed. I really like the "dot-the-i" style of them.

Make sure you get the ones with the tritium insert in the front sight.
I had the non-tritium model on my G19 and I was not nearly as accurate with it as I was with my G23 which had the tritium lamp. There's something about that little dark spot in the middle of that white ball that makes it much easier to shoot accurately. Both now wear tritium Big Dots up front.
